Chihuahua Rescue Puppies & Their Pit Bull Foster Mom

Chihuahua Rescue Puppies & Their Pit Bull Foster Mom

7th Jun 2015

These four chihuahua mix puppies were sadly being rejected by their mother, and their owner unfortunately was not able to bottle feed or keep them. The four of them were at risk of going to the shelter. Unless a volunteer or adopter steps up right away, there usually isn't someone who can bottle feed puppies and kittens around the clock at a busy shelter, which can have deadly results. Long story short, our owner Noelani was contacted, and the rescue mission was set into motion.

The pups were out of town, an hour or so away, but the pick-up went smoothly. Their owner was relieved that she did not have to take them to the shelter, and was given some spay and neuter resources and information. The mama dog is safe and will hopefully be spayed soon, if not already.

We did not know if we would be able to take on the puppies without the support of a rescue organization. We have fostered independently on our own before, but never a full litter of bottle-fed puppies. We created an Amazon wish list full of essential supplies, and with the incredible support of our Instagram network alone, all of the items were bought within minutes. We thank everyone for the support and much needed help so much, from the bottom of our hearts. We are touched by the generosity, encouragement, and kindness you have all shown us. We may be miles apart, but we truly consider you an extension of our family!

Shortly after bringing the puppies home, our sweet Angel (former mom, forever bad-ass) demanded to see the new arrivals. She nudged her way past me, walked to the sleeping puppies, and cuddled up right behind them. They immediately flocked to her warmth, and from that moment on, Angel was their "Mommy".
